well i followed this tut:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

and I made a 1.0.1 and i fixed everything on the launcher and on the client side i put 1.0.0 in the history.config. so it updates but then it doesn't put the file in the right place.. i made sure history.config is right so dont wrry bout dat

for example i took a file out of data/action and deleted it and thats what I put in the update, it downloaded it and it says update successful but its not there! i converted it to .div like the tutorial said, so idk why its not working.

pls help, i tried everything

try use 36.0.01. cos it follow the launche version.

well did you put the number of updates beside version number in ur config files?

so for example if you have 1 div file like this
00000.div

in config of webserver u put

1.0.1 1

yes you need. if you got 5 files. 36.0.01 5

Make sure you always make it the number higher than last div because 0000.div counts as 1.

it says updated 1.0.1

also, i deleted shadow.txt and the updater fixed that part, but its not putting in the file that i told it to that i took out of data/action to test it

does this mean it only patches the .pak? if so is there a way to make it work on unpacked clients ?
05/18/2010 00:19 naruto820#9
oh your using unpacked client? then yea it wont work the patcher you are using most likely works with packed client only. That is what the .divs are used for. They are added to .pak and extracted into the pak file by the launcher. For unpaked clients use the launcher released by nosferatu. It is on the stickies here. For unpacked clients divs are not needed.

there is another launcher for unpacked clients by janvier but I dont think its that updated. You can still give it a try.

ok i got it running, and i made history.config right but its staying at 1.0.0 ...

i make the history.config on the server 1.0.1 and make a 1.0.1 folder with channellist and loginlist.csv just to test it, and its not updating like it should..

did i do something wrong?
