You can't bind Samarkand as return town...

what do u mean BIND?

dont use samarkand as returning point
go to hotan, talk to the port stone, and choose select as return point
then try to use the bot again by using a return scroll
if you did all right, it should be no problem and it should work
if not, well then.. i dont know what you did wrong ;) its kinda hell easy to get the bot set up^^
