Ports are open BUT.....

Ok so I have checked and yes ports are all open etc BUT people still can not gain access? Even with windows firewall turned off I have that same problem. I am unsure as to whether avast is causing the problem and if it is what do I need to do to stop it blocking people? I turned all the shields off briefly to check it but still the same problem :(

I had same problem but a friend refered me to downloading SQL Server 2005 & add my ip to it, so it will make access aviable to it or something and it worked fine for me.

Mine was fine it was an error on my behalf lol
