this is my first contribution to the site, and i'd just like to share a few quick things that helped me a lot..
(this guide will help you rename CO window, change icon, and *hide* co while tging, it also includes some very helpful tips)
i realize *some* of this might be repetitive, but bear with me..

do you find other people that use your computer turning off CO?
well, then you should try the following:
1) RENAMING CO WINDOW
a) go to CO folder
b) go to the "ini" folder
c) find the "StrRes.ini" file (can be opened with notepad -_-)
d) open and press ctrl+f
e) in the search box, type in "10375" without the quotes and change the entry after the equal sign
f) replace that name with w/e you wanna have as your new CO window name
and thats that
2) CHANGING CO ICON IN GAME WINDOW (requires use of Resource Hacker----> useful tool)
a) download Res Hacker available here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
b) use it to open your conquer.exe file
c) go the the actions menu
d) select "replace icon"
e) pick the program whose icons you would like to use (preferrabley anti virus, or w/e) has to look important to people dont close
f) save changes (IT MAKES A BACKUP SO IF YOU SCREW UP OR WANT THE OLD ONE BACK< YOU HAVE A BACKUP)
g) IMPORTANT : YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS [ Hiding CO WHile afk, written under this ] AT LEAST ONCE FOR THE ICON TO BE CHANGED PERMANENTLY (till the next time you change)
3) HIDING CO WHILE AFK (yes, this was written elsewhere in different words, and i dont take credit for this) FOR WINDOWS USERS >.>
THIS IS IMPORTANT IS YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE CO ICON, you have to complete this entire set of steps at LEAST once..
a) set your char in tg, mine, or wherver you plan to go afk
b) go to desktop, right click, and go to the "settings page"
c) switch the colour quality from whatever it is to the other option (most commonly 16 bit and 32 bit)
d) press "ok" and your CO screen(s) will go blank
e) DO NOT press anywhere on the blank surface, just click on the title bar on top and drag it
f) i suggest you grab by the very corner of the title bar and drag it intot the very edge of your window (completely hides CO)
g) to switch back, simply change the colour quality again, and it'll switch back, very usefull to check progress and what not...
(this trick was not discovered by me, but its useful, and it makes CO use up very little CPU resources...)
with the above guide, you can completely hide CO
the icon is different, the name is different, and it isnt clickable (or closeable through right click on the task bar)
