[HowTo]Record gameplay using XFIRE

Hello e*pvp members!

Today I'd like to write how to record silkroad video using XFIRE program.

First some words about this program...

Xfire is a program which allows you to take screenshots and send it direct to your xfire profile.
It's following games which you're playing and it's uploading informations how much hours you've played specific game.

My profile for example(I'm not using xfire all the time, that's why not so much hours counted ^^): [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

1. Download xfire [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and install it.

After you've installed XFIRE,simply go and [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] for further steps.
Then, after you've succesfully installed and registered your account, log in.

2. Go to Tools >> Options and then to Games tab. Wait for game detection/scan then you'll see list of games detected on your computer and HUGE list of games which aren't installed on your PC.

If you don't see Silkroad in installed games, don't worry.
I'll explain how to add it manually.

(optional)3. If you don't have Silkroad in your installed games,2x click at the non-installed games list then search for Silkroad online.

When you'll find it,you'll see something like this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Simply fill those fields with path to your silkroad directory.
2nd field need to get filled with path to your sro_client.exe then click Confirm and voila,Silkroad online is now "installed".

4. Go to your xfire settings then change them for those which are best for you. To change hotkey, simply go to Xfire in game tab and choose hotkeys for every function.

After setting everything up,you're ready to record your SILKROAD video.

5. Run silkroad and press your desired hotkey(from step4) and you'll start recording.

Remember that it may slow down your FPS and you can experience lags, but don't worry, that's normal.
Depends on your PC hardware.

6. After you recorded what you wanted to record, press your hotkey again to stop recording.

Then, simply ESC >> EXIT from silkroad and XFIRE window should pop up with your video.

You can directly send it to your xfire profile but it can take a while due to big file size(still, not as big as Fraps videos).

If you want to reduce filesize and eventually edit your video, use for example Windows Movie Maker and after you're done in windows movie maker Click on Finish work with my movie(or something like this) in WMM and then choose your final movie name and place where it will be after it's succesfully saved.

Next step is to choose file size.
You'll have few options but I prefer that one with optimal file size.

I resized my sro video from 600 mb to 42 mb and here's result(as you can see video is still in good quality):

After you're done with resizing, simply upload your video to Youtube or any other video sharing community and let people enjoy your video ^^

For now,that's all.
Later I may update this tutorial with more details.

If you don't have big HDD - yes,it is.
Also,it uses very good XFIRE codec for MP4 files which gives VERY good quality with LOW filesize - pretty good for youtube gameplays ;)
