Look what I found. If you don't want your client to be patched and you will have an old version. It will stop your client from patching. No more worries ^_^. Here Ill just post the steps on here.

Step 1:
Download this version of Conquer (older version without patches)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

or for torrent

ftp://69.59.149.193/1223conquer2.0.rar.torrent

Step 2:
Download this patch
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Step 3:
Uninstall your version of Conquer Online

Step 4:
Install the older version of Conquer Online

Step 5:
Unzip the patch files into your Conquer Online folder

IF YOU NEED THE PROGRAM TO OPEN .RARs GO HERE

And if you did it correctly there should be no worries about patching.

This will also install the Qonquer Private Server Emulater on your Conquer Online don't worry this will not affect your gameplay this is just a pre-alpha server.

You can now run Conquer and it wont autopatch if you did it correctly. If it still does let me know and Ill look at what I typed wrong.
Another way is bypass the patch and not patch your client is make a shortcut of Conquer.exe to desktop and go to destop right click property and you will see "C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\Conquer.exe" just add this command

"C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\play.exe" blacknull

this cpommand allow u play conquer without patching or using "C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\play.exe" play.exe which is the ptaching program that run first to patch your client then open Conquer.exe the command blacknull allow u run in conquer.exe with patch

or you can make a shortcut of your conquer.exe go into is properties and place blacknull at the end of its target

lol

;)

his ways easier

Edit version.dat in the main CO folder and replace the version number with a higher number (ie: 9000).

Everytime the autopatch is run it compares the version.dat number with the newest version number from the CO server to see if it's updated or not. Since your # in the version.dat will always be higher than the # of the current version number, you'll never get updates.

Just be sure to change the version.dat # back to the last patch # that you didnt download in case an update comes up that you need. (ie: added ingame features)

yah, well i had to change it from
"C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\play.exe"
to
"C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\conquer.exe" blacknull
for it to skip autopatch. duno if what you had was a typo or what, but yah. oh, and yah, play exe doesnt "patch" your client, thats what the autopatch.exe is for. i think play.exe is just what initiates autopatch.exe and the nessary files required to run conquer.
