Hi,

This is my problem:

Two days ago (5th May) My Conquer Online client was loading fine. But in these past 2 days it hasnt been loading at all. What happens is when I double click the Conquer 2.0 Shortcut on my desktop it connects to the autopatch server and then says OK at the corner. Then it goes onto the loading screen and it just stays there for hours. I left it on that screen all day yesterday and it still had not loaded the login screen.

The computer i am using is a Toshiba Satellite pro 4600 and my graphics card is not on the problematic list. I also do not have a firewall blocking the program because I have uninstalled it and tried again. Still nothing. Also I have removed the game and reinstalled it and that did not work either.

Computer and Graphics card drivers (They suck but it worked before so i want it to work again):

O/S: Windows XP Home (5.1 Build 2600)
Processor: Intel Pentium III ~890 MHz
Manufacturer: Toshiba
System Model: Portable PC
Bios: Satellite Pro4600 v2.10 English
Memory: 254MB RAM
Direct X Version: DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902)
Page File: 191MB Used, 435MB Avaliable

Display:

Name: Trident Video Accelerator CyberBlade XP
Approx. Total Memory: 16.0MB

Things ive tried that diddnt work:
Re-Install - Tried twice, dont work.

System Restore - Just dosent work. Dont ask why.

I Hope somone can help me sort this out.
Thanks in advance, Russ

Re-install it again, go to the icon you use to start Conquer and add "blacknull" (but without the "") at the end of it when rightclicking and choosing Properties.

Like this:

rightclick icon > Properties > goto "Shortcut"> "Target" and at the end of "conquer.exe" put blacknull

ex.
"C:\Program\Conquer 2.0\Conquer.exe" blacknull

This will stop it from autopatching and you will have to do it manually, meaning downloading them from page.

No, it's not the autopatching that freezes its the actual loading screen itself.
Thanks for the suggestion though :)

I posted in the CO forums that I didnt edit anything and they said its common bug in the software that it just goes corrupt...they told me to download the newest "pack" file and reinstal.... Worked like a dream :D

Could anyone else maybe suggest something please?

I just can say what already got said before...
Try a complete new install. If it's still not working (or maybe you can check that before), check if you got enough diskspace on the partition. If that's fine too, ponder if you installed any other software past 2 days. If yes - try uninstalling it. *ponders* That's all I can think of atm.
G'luck.

Maybe problem connecting to the "ad-server"... you can prevent seeing the ads but add account.conqueronline.com to your hosts file and point it to 127.0.0.1.

1. notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\et c\hosts
2. Add a line:
127.0.0.1 account.conqueronline.com

3. Save and exit. Restart Conquer.
