I wasn't necessarily referring to recently, but rather speaking generally.
Every ban has been permanent.
As I'm sure you know, I test a lot of cheats for people who request it, including both customers and developers. I've tested Desync on and off for customers over the course of roughly three years to evaluate detection status, performance, and other factors across PUBG, EFT, Apex, Fortnite, and R6.
During those tests, I experienced bans in every single one of those games whenever I used Desync, although the timeframes varied: e.g., a few weeks after a detection someone might say, "KGB says he fixed the detection. Can you test it again and see if it's still getting detected?"
That said, the last time I personally tested a Desync product was
around eight months ago, so I can't speak to its current status with any certainty.
Preemptively answering some follow-up questions:
- Each test is done on a completely new HWID, manually changed rather than spoofed. I also change peripheral IDs.
- Each test is performed from a new IP using residential proxies.
- I test various playstyles and scenarios, including:
- Rage play, followed by a reset and a new account.
- Legit play, followed by a reset and a new account.
- Legit play, followed by a reset and a new account, then waiting to see if enforcement occurs later.
