Previous Demo Feature Set
The previous Memorium Placer Demo already provided the essential workflow for editing existing NosTale maps:
- Direct launch into the Map Editor without the full editor suite.
- Client archive configuration, map loading, validation and safe archive saving.
- Full 3D map rendering with models, textures, materials and animations.
- Model Browser, Inspector, Asset Catalog and Object Reference Catalog.
- Object selection, filtering, grouping, hiding, locking and reusable selection sets.
- Move, rotate, scale, align, distribute, mirror and place-on-floor tools.
- Duplicate, remove, copy/paste and consistent undo/redo support.
- Basic map-layer painting, grid overlays, shadows, fog and minimap display.
- Configurable shortcuts and persistent editor settings.
Version 0.2.1 - Full Map Editor Integration and Polish
The current Full Version Map Editor feature set has been integrated into the Demo. Standalone suite tools remain excluded, while all functionality required inside the Map Editor is retained.
Highlights
- VFX workflow: Added animated Map VFX rendering, sequence handling, list and placement previews, placement controls, scaling and catalog integration. VFX now play correctly in the viewport instead of appearing as static frames.
- Native grid and cell handling: Reworked NStc decoding around native per-map coordinates and correct 0,0 grid origins. Cell types, blocked/walkable values, original zone colours and terrain projection now share the same authoritative grid data.
- Granular grid visualization: Native ground grid, terrain-projected cells, zone types, clicked-cell highlights and object-bound zones can be enabled and styled independently. Overlay colours, opacity, line width and selection emphasis are configurable.
- AutoGrid and AutoBlock: Added automatic and manual object-bound block zones, adjustable ground-height detection, footprint generation, soft docking, conflict visualization and optional walkable-cell healing. Bound zones follow object movement, rotation, duplication, catalog placement and undo/redo.
- Painter rework: Added fine brush sizes down to 0.001 with 0.010 defaults, adaptive rendered-colour sampling, recolour mode with preserved alpha, configurable opacity, flood fill and grid shape tools. Camera control remains available while painting.
- Catalog improvements: Object, asset and VFX references can share the global catalog. Entries can preserve scale and optional zone masks, use editable categories and subfolders, and be exchanged or merged through YAML-based catalog data.
- Preview improvements: Object and VFX previews received dedicated camera controls, framing, overlay diagnostics and support for visualizing attached zone data.
- UI redesign and polish: Reorganized crowded panels into clearer sections, added collapsible groups, improved list separation and button depth, moved camera controls into a dedicated panel, and refined tooltips, transitions, highlights and pulse effects.
- Viewport feedback: Replaced persistent overlapping notices with timed toast messages. The performance HUD can be toggled and no longer competes with warnings or errors.
- Performance: Added configurable and uncapped frame scheduling, cached zone data, consolidated overlay rendering and frame-budgeted bulk updates. Map loading, placement operations and AutoBlock refreshes are smoother and avoid unnecessary duplicate rendering.
- Reliability fixes: Corrected grid polarity, projection alignment, cell highlighting, selection overlays, VFX placement and preview issues, startup crashes, history synchronization and attached-zone updates across mouse, shortcut and undo/redo workflows.
- Shipped defaults: The polished viewport, selection, movement, AutoBlock, Painter and catalog configuration is now included as the default setup for clean installations.
Demo Scope
- The regular Memorium Placer 0.2.1 Demo supports Official EU 2010~2026 client archives.
- Standalone editors and the full suite launcher are not included; integrated Map Editor features, Map VFX handling and required archive services remain available.
