[Release] Valorant Muter

There was one thing about Valorant that always drove me absolutely insane.

You’re dead and just want to casually pass the time, listen to your stream a bit better, watch a video, or touch yourself. Then you tab out, an epic fight breaks out in-game, or your teammates start talking like crazy.

You can’t understand a thing, and Valorant itself simply has no feature to mute the game when you’re tabbed out.
Until now. It’s extremely lightweight, uses 0% CPU while idle, and the few calls the tool makes are so tiny they’re basically negligible. Long story short: it doesn’t eat any resources, so just let it run. The tool doesn’t have a big GUI, it’s preconfigured, and all you get is one extra icon in your system tray.

Anyone who’s paranoid can find the source code here and compile it themselves:

Here‘s a guide:

Anyone who trusts me can also download the finished EXE:

Here's the virus total link:

There are some false positives cause of the missing version metadata 'n stuff. And as I mentioned above. If you don't trust me there is even the SOURCE CODE you can compile it yourself and literally see every letter you throw in the compiler.

great idea however could this be detected by VGK as some sort of 3rd party software? or is it fully safe and tested

Idk why this wouldn't suffice as a release for github. Showing source code and then giving a compiled exe is meaningless because the exe could have been tampered with already. I would avoid this simply because why would he post a muter on epvp over github?

There is no guarantee that Vanguard will never scan the signature, ban it, or anything like that. However, I would be very surprised if they did, since the tool never directly interacts with Valorant. It only checks whether Valorant is currently the focused window and then unmutes it through the volume mixer, or if it is not focused, it mutes Valorant through the volume mixer.

Other than checking whether Valorant is running as a process, it does nothing else.

I have also been using it myself the whole time without any issues.

There is NO:

- ReadProcessMemory / WriteProcessMemory
- DLL injection / CreateRemoteThread / VirtualAllocEx
- Hooking into Val
- No files
- no Valorant registry access
- no debugger attach

The foreground hook gets to see the name of the currently active process on every window change, not just Val.

As already said: I would be very surprised if they took any steps against such an irrelevant little tool, since it has absolutely no impact on their game. Still, use at your own risk.

Are you done with the accusations? The source code is available. If you don’t know what that means then I really don’t know what else to tell you. Nobody is forced to download the exe.

Where is all this pointless hate coming from? I have been transparent about everything, and I even gave the tool to a moderator to check. My god. You try to contribute something useful (at least it was for me) to the community once and people immediately start throwing accusations around for no reason.

If you don’t trust it, don’t use it. That’s completely fine.

Any dev with some experience in C is more than welcome to take a look at the source code and tell me if they find anything suspicious in it.

Just because you post source code, doesn't mean that the EXE you provided is the EXACT same. You could have easily given us the source code that is benign but have a RAT in the exe you ended up providing. If you don't understand that from an end user perspective, that is on you.

On top of that you only have this posted here. Valorant can easily grab the exe and flag it. It's pretty simple logic to see the issues that could cause.

Simply remove the exe and let people compile it themselves.
