Question about HWID bans.

Does The Finals HWID ban? I see some guy in a providers chat constantly saying "they don't HWID ban, they use to but not anymore". And his line of reasoning for it is because he's raged on multiple accounts, and yet hasn't got a HWID ban.

As far as im aware, They have NEVER hwid banned. I got banned with a random internal on release, banned midway through 2023 with another internal and never got HWID banned and when they added Anybrain with the huge wave no HWID bans were given either (at least not to any of my users which there sadly were a couple that got hit in said Anybrain wave)

Only one way to make sure is make another account and test for a few hours. If you get banned without cheats then its HWID.

If he can sitll play then maybe not anymore. or never been

Bans can be delayed or triggered under certain conditions. Anti cheat systems change all the time

I thought they did HWID bans? At least after getting normal banned three times...

Im pretty sure they do, I just dont know if its right away or follows a step process like 1 ban 2 30 day then hwid.. But now im curious. I used like 3 cheats back in the day when it first came out and not even banned once. But I was positive they started HWID.

Maybe I'm wrong?

They do hwid ban now but when the game first came out they didn’t. I’ve had my users experience normal bans and hwid bans so I think it’s a case by case basis. It’s not hard to figure out if your hwid banned or not so just make a new account and see if you get a delay ban.

The final answer is they do lol...and didn't they also upgrade their anti-cheat so yaaa
