Rust ALT Banned

Hey,

So the other day I tested a script on my alt and ended up getting game banned. I unfortunately didn't know I was banned and tried playing on my main. It got temp banned for 1 day. It's been a week since and I have not tried playing. No ban on my main, so my question is where do i go from here?

Do I have to wait 8 months?

Why was my main temp banned and not perm'd?

Do I even try playing on a alt?

What would you do?

You got lucky with the 1 day temp ban. Usually, when EAC or Facepunch detects you trying to play on a main right after an alt gets hit, they just flag it for ban evasion and perm both. The temp ban was likely a warning or an automatic flag because of the shared HWID/IP.

As for the 8 month thing, that's specifically for playing on moderated server networks like Rustafied they usually won't let you play on a new account until your game ban is at least 180-240 days old.

So now, I need to check to see if i'm hwid banned, right? or should I assume that i am already?

What should I do?

Another question is what do I do about my internet? Would EAC log my ip address and should i change it or use a VPN? Assuming i'm not hwid banned.

Either you assume you're HWID banned and wait several months, or you buy a spoofer.
Or you try anyway and risk losing an account.
