Idea for a new PSERVER

Once in a while I visit these forums for SRO Pservers. I really enjoyed iSRO back in the days, using bot of course, but I was always doing something by hand.

Nowadays I am looking mostly for No Bots server, which have been growing but for me they always make the same mistakes.

1st - Offer a key presser: These servers advertise as "the old school experience" with 1x rates and then offer a keypresser embedded or as a 3rd party software.

2nd - The EXP Rates: I've downloaded and registered on countless private servers. The routine of going through the low levels actually have prevented me to download any more servers. Silkroad is just unbearable to play by hand with these rates.

A good idea would be to either do Dynamic EXP rates for each set of levels, or reduce the EXP Table. Again the marketing is done as "The real Experience of SRO" but the real reason is just for you to take more time to get to max level and pay for more premium.

3rd - The End Game Should be the real grind so make the last 3 degrees the real grind.

So If in the future anyone launches a server that tackles these 2 problems, I think that this would be a project with future. And I would definitely join it with pleasure.

I don't quite understand your approach.

So you want a non-bot server with key press and autoselect? (return scroll + repair hammer)
Basically the same as a bot or Marco bot?

The experience rate should be adjusted based on level? That's an approach that's already been done plenty of times, like using a quest base server or adjusting the experience based on level or Monster.

The real problem is the lack of innovation.
Everything has already been done somewhere, in some way or another.

There are too many servers out there offering the same thing, so there's a real dilemma of choice and on the other hand, "I don't like the server because of X/Y" I'll switch servers after a few weeks.

My personal tip: find a server, enjoy the nostalgia one more time, or do it as a hobby project, but don't expect too much.
