How Do CoD Detections Work?

Probably a really stupid question, but I’m not very knowledgeable on how detections work.

If someone uses an undetected CoD cheat for about a week and then completely stops, can they still get banned later if that cheat gets detected in the future ?

anti cheats usually ban players with delay, in example anti cheat invoked an detection against specific cheat, if you used the cheat during this period you will get banned in a week let`s say.

other example is, if you used a cheat 2 months ago and it was actually undetected back then and you stopped using it, then you most likely won`t be banned unless the cheat itself doesn`t leave a traces on your pc that will end up flagging you

thats good info thank you but most cheats leave some sort traces no ?

But what if someone uses a cheat that does leave traces can they delete them themselves?

windows reinstall if you want to guarantee it since you can't trust any of the devs on this forum to be truthful

if the cheat you are using is leaving "traces" on a clientside that you can delete yourself you most likely chose a wrong cheat

Oh, that’s fine then. I tend to reinstall Windows every few months, so if I ever cheat again, I’ll just reinstall Windows to be safe, lol. thank you for info i know a little bit more

Lmao, I guess I’ve just cheated in CS before, and there was always a random folder with numbers and letters for the software (it was probably just login data or something idk), so I just assumed that’s how CoD cheats handle traces. I know there are other kinds, like driver signatures, registry keys, etc.

there was a cheat on cod too forgot who it was, shit was leaving an imgui file with menu info ( like initial positions, menu size, etc... ) so yea degenerates exist on cod too

Well, if I decide to cheat and again ill give your product another chance, I used it before in BO6 but ran into some issues I don’t quite remember what it was. The support was along the lines of “reinstall Windows” or something equally troll, so I was annoyed and left it. A few weeks later, I got banned, but I don’t think it was from your product. I could have checked when I bought it to see if there were any detections at the time, but it was just convenient timing, I guess
