Because Ricochet sucks dick and they have no idea how to actually improve it, this is the easiest alternative they can try to slow cheating down.

this ain`t slowing shit down thats the funniest thing, everything they do is make the gameplay experience worse for legit players.

before they were just getting into the game and getting killed by cheaters, now they will have to rape their brains how to enable all this shit just to get in the game an hour later and get killed by a cheater.

fun fact, most hacks that are undetected ( advance, ss, hv ) does not require secure boot to be disabled, so basically they did nothing.

most likely, this was just a show-off in front of legitimate players that the developers were supposedly actually working on an anti-cheat.

Because it is their game and they can do what ever they want i guess
