Stream Freezes/Stutters when Tabbing Out of the Game (Alt-Tab)

Hello everyone, I'm Rook (My real name is Akif).

I regularly stream the MMORPG/Servers I play on, and I've recently started on a new server.

Here is my main issue: When I use Alt+Tab to minimize the game or switch to another window while streaming, the stream feed completely freezes or stutters badly.

Normally, in modern games or with certain stream setups, this freezing is prevented by running the game in Borderless Windowed Mode or by using a specific render/stream fix (sometimes called "Render Fix" or "Stream Fix" in certain communities, which usually keeps the game actively rendered even when not focused). Unfortunately, this option/fix is not available on this new server/game client.

My questions are:

Is there a specific external program, utility, or software that I can use to bypass this issue and keep the game rendering while I'm tabbed out?

Are there any other solutions or workarounds (outside of in-game settings) that could fix this problem?

I would highly appreciate any help from experienced users. Thank you in advance!

This was explained a while ago.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

A quicker guide would be:
  1. Open sro_client.exe with an hex editor (Drag & drop the .exe into [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...])
  2. Go to the offset 7A6FCE (CTRL + G and put that address)
  3. Change the value you just found in your cursor from 00 to 01
    "DB 75 23 68 34 92 E0 00 C7 05 B4 7C ED 00 00 00" > "DB 75 23 68 34 92 E0 00 C7 05 B4 7C ED 00 01 00"
If does not look like this, you will have to ask to server admins or at least give details on which SRO version you're playing in.
  4. Save changes (CTRL + S) .. Enjoy :p

Thank you so much for the quick and clear guide! I was having trouble finding the correct offset, but your instructions (especially the CTRL + G and 7A6FCE part) made the fix incredibly easy.

I successfully changed the value from 00 to 01. My issue is now solved thanks to your help! Cheers! :bandit:
