Steam and EA hwid ban system

I’m planning to use cheats in Battlefield 6 but don’t want to risk my main EA account. If I buy the game on Steam and get banned with a hardware ID (HWID) ban, will that also affect my EA account, or are the HWID bans separate for Steam and EA?

I was banned twice, both times I was using EA Play Pro accounts. First ban was Crooked Arms, second was Nova Macro. I've been on my third EA Play account for 4 days now without any issues. This time I'm not cheating though ;)

It doesn't seem like they're HWID banning, at least not for the first 1-2 offenses. If you do get banned, it's your EA account that gets banned, and you cannot unlink it from your Steam if you're banned. If you want to cheat and play via Steam, I would suggest using a new/separate Steam and EA account from your main.

HWID bans are from EA, not Steam. Even if you buy the game on Steam, it still runs through EA, so if you get HWID banned, both accounts can be affected

I also got banned second time using nova macro first time after 2 weeks of playtime and now with new account after 4 days. Nova macro worked fine in BF2042. But looks like javelin AC is more serious.

Does anyone know a provider for macro scripts that is not detected? Or do logitech scripts work or would they detect that also?

There is only Nova CV but do you really want to risk your account for a software that just pulls down your mouse? This isn't R6 or Apex. Maybe you can create something similar with Logitech GHUB if it works.

I thought macro scripts would be the last thing they'd ban. I don't need an aimbot or anything like that. Recoil macros with a bit of rapid fire are perfectly sufficient for me. And I mean, I'm happy to pay for a well-made program, and macro scripts don't cost much these days, plus I save myself the work.
