A little advice needed.

The only database I could find was from [adm] Grr's server files.
But when i attatched the GMTool_Data , it showed error.
Will the server still work IF i didnt attatched this file?

he doesnt even have GMTool files here.

Back in 2010(?)when i was in high school, I DID manage to setup my own server and played on it without much trouble using most of this forum's tutorials. But I was busy on my studies and work so I barely remembered it now. I just wanted to make a private server to play with my kids and nieces.

By now , I had installed sql server from 2008 to 2021 to fix this and nothing seemed to work anymore. Almost all links are dead and some had virus.
Right now, I reinstall sql 2008 r.

Last I played shaiya was ep 4.5 so if you could, can you kindly share me a working server files too.
I rarely post here and would rather look up things myself but server stuff isnt my expertise so I would appreciate if anyone could help and guide me. I had spend a week trying to figure this out now.

I manage to get past almost all these problems but now im stuck again with :
When I click "Game Start".
I already search for it and thisdidnt work for me.

Update: After reinstalling windows 2 times and uninstalling and reinstalling different version od sql about 10 times, i finally made a playable ep 4 shaiya server.
I managed to find the cause from some random YouTube videos.
My next task is to fix item mall which the forum "fix" doesn't work, same with the over 1 million kills stats that new char spawned with.

I wonder why most of the "fix" in this forum never worked for me. Maybe they don't work with Win 10 and above.

Anyway i happy that its atleast playable now. Too bad the forum is too dead now. But on the good side, no ones gunna cry about me triple posting.

Update:
Im currently working on fixing my item mall. I tried almost every fix i could find but it end up breaking my server. As a noob, i cant fixed it so had to reinstall Windows again.
Now I avoid Sandolskakos fix, i think its not meant for Ep 4 files.

I use Shstudio and edit the price of some items in item mall to 0 (Because AP wont update).
After trying for hours I was able to buy it, but got dc immediately each time.
At one point, my character wont even load. Only after I clear my inventory did it let me login.

After looking at Logs , I saw that there were some errors in the guild rank database (which is strange) but I apply the fix.
Also, I read on a post that they fix it after changing language to us so i change my date format to YY-MM-DD too.

I have no idea which one works but it did fixed my dc problems.

BUT, I can only buy ONE item (even if i priced multiple item at zero). I had to relog after I bought an item if i want to make another purchase. Which sucks. But atleast now I can buy it. Progress i think. :cool:

My next project after fixing this (or if i gave up) is to find a way to add my AP points ingame. The MF wont update.

Also, huge issue is that everytime i login, my character's Kill's and death randomize. Sometimes i had -(yes minus) 1billion kills, other time I had 1mill.

Also there's an issue where everytime I login and my character spawned in the middle of fking nowhere outside map, sometimes under the map, i had to move a bit to teleport to my spawn place. But as a GM its no issue, but as a player it might be annoying.

Made a php signup/login and a simple tool to send items to players via webpage. Webmall is almost ready too.
I have no plan on making a public server. I just wanted to challenged myself. Plan of playing with my niece and kids once school is over.

It was kinda annoying that 90% of download and image links are dead, and also because of zero support it took longer. But I understand the gatekeeping.

I used to play P servers too. I still remember one server where I played which got hack by a guy and he decided to dump tons of high level gears and items in the AH. I got tons of OP stuff and because of the guy, i was the first Ranger in that server to get FULL Secor gears.:D I feel bad for the owner because from that day, the server began declining. He should have rerolled instead of listening to us :D

The last p server I remembered playing was Hack and Slash and Cryptic Shaiya...

Yea we did play it using hamachi. Im just playing it with my friends and family but everyones soo busy these days with work and schools.

The only minor bug i see is being unable to level a certain skill in priest and fighter (im too lazy to fix it). We also dont really test the pvp side too.

Was working in making an npc that sell heroic lvl 30+ gears but i was too busy that i stop working on it for weeks now.

Although I would liked to have people testing my servers for bugs and make suggestions, I have no intention of opening a public server now, I am super uneducated in server security stuff rn and any one in this forum would hijack my pc blindfold.
