How to evaluate the safety of running a MMAP executable?

Hey All!
Question -- Some of these providers require running a MMAP or Memory Mapper executable. While I'm sure there is no ill intent here, the file does pop for malicious activity when scanning; Questions to the group here:
1. Is it normal to run a memory mapping tool? I'm inclined to think so as without it, I appear to be running into issues with the UI from time to time.
2. What steps would you take to evaluate prior to running? The executable must be run on the main PC and then a file dropped into the secondary PC's directory for the UI.
Thanks!

I think the bottom line answer here is if you don't trust the provider, do not run anything they give you.

Otherwise its no different than running any other exe they give you.

If its a reputable provider I wouldn't stress about it.
