hey I used to be able to just flip off my wifi and start up a client to skip over autopatching by bypassing it but this doesn't work anymore. What can I do now?
I'm pretty sure when you hit that button, it hooks the Conquer client, injects a dll and reroutes the Conquer connections towards their proxy. Which would mean if he tries to use that Conquer client, then it will not connect to the Conquer auth/game servers.Quote:
Download the free version of BCO proxy and set it up, just go through the "start conquer" button that bypasses the patches.
I think Matt and John said that the only internet connection the proxy uses is through the chatroom, the login and the Proxy updates. But I usually never connect to CO through the normal shortcut, but rather through the proxy button. And just yesterday I went straight to CO and it tried to autopatch but I declined because I wasn't connected to the internet. I have since used the Proxy button to start CO and it hasn't asked me to autopatch and I still play CO just fine. But I could be mistaken.Quote:
