Valorant no longer supports Discrete TPM chips if your computer supports fTPM

Currently can’t play with my TPM chip enabled. I get a VAN Restriction saying I must use firmware TPM. Sure enough, I checked gamerdocs twitter and he confirmed that you can’t use a discrete tpm if your mobo/cpu supports fTPM. This means buying tpm chips to avoid bans is now useless (unless a spoof/workaround comes along)

I also wanted to acknowledge the fact that I am a legit player now. Cheated last year, spoofed my HWID and bought a TPM chip and have been playing legit ever since. This means there is no flagging going on via cheating. I am going to enable firmware TPM now and hope that I don’t get banned. If TPM bans indeed drop after 4 months I will be fine, it’s been about a year.

any clue if it's strictly for fTPM or of it also includes PTT? i'm assuming it's both fTPM and PTT

Im assuming youre correct that it is both because both gamerdocs tweet and the Van Restriction cite it as Firmware TPM rather than strictly fTPM so I am assuming it applies to every form of firmware tpm.

Just a word; RIOT. :lul:

I’m already theorizing a BIOS Bypass for this.
We still have no idea how they can “scan” this, but it should be bypassable.

you can get a tpm chip, spoof, use 1.1.1.1. to warp and see if that works for u until someone finds an actual UD bypass that doesn't get you delay banned. currently working for me with a tpm chip and PTT off.

It’s easy to bypass it now — the method is similar to how HVCI is handled.
