Question about Launcher/HWID Bans

To start, I have read conflicting information and assume that BSG has gotten more complex with what the launcher tracks. Thus, I created this thread.

I have a 2 PC setup. One PC I play legit. The other I dont. I recently was playing on my main account on the LEGIT PC and got banned mid raid. I had played the same account on the 2nd PC (not legit) earlier that day. I did receive an email, no Battleye ban ID, just the usual BSG use of third party software/bot use ban email. I assume I got manually banned and just happened to be on my main PC playing legit, which led to the launcher/HWID ban being on that machine. I highly doubt I would receive a battleye ban on a different PC than the one that was using the cheese, correct me if im wrong.

I tried to use a different account on the LEGIT PC (that my main got banned on) and got instantly banned at the launcher. I then bought another account, logged on the 2nd PC (not legit) and I got in. As of now, the newest account is still not banned when I check on the BSG website (one that logged in to the 2nd not legit PC). I have not tried to login to any accounts on the 2nd (not legit) pc since.

I want to play on my main PC legit. Its a newer PC. I have no problems swapping out specific parts to try and bypass the Launcher Ban, but I will absolutely not spoof or use the hwho launcher.

Is it as simple as replacing my M.2 drive and reinstalling a new windows. Or does the BSG launcher now track other HWID such as motherboard, ram, etc.

The launcher uses your motherboard and cpu but why wouldnt you just use hwho? Its free, provably safe and wouldve prevented you from getting hwid banned in the first place.
I understand not wanting to have anything cheating related on your main computer but hwho is completely open source and pretty easy to understand. Maybe you wanted to upgrade your components anyways but otherwise it just seems like a huge waste of money, youd be better of saving it or even buying a dma card would be cheaper, depending of what parts youre planning on replacing

You definitely did get a launcher ban on your legit pc tho, they probably just use the last hwid their server received and that just happened to be your legit one. The only way to know if it really was a manual ban is to check if other users from the same cheat also got banned or not

"Yeah dude, just waste your money on something youve clearly stated you do not want."

A fresh Windows install is a must, and avoid logging in to any previously banned accounts. Since you don’t want to spoof, full hardware replacement is the safest method because it's likely tracking multiple HWID components beyond just your M.2 drive.

Ended up just using hwho. Seems safe enough. Was able to login to an account on the main PC no problem. Going to wait a little before upgrading an account or just going to purchase an EOD from a 3rd party website.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I have a similar question but I think it was answered. If I was banned recently on a new PC will swapping the only SSD out with a new one and doing a fresh install avoid a new ban? (new download of EFT and so on)

I also want nothing to do with any cheat related software as I'm done paying for these crutches.

Yeah you can just replace SSD but if you're launcher banned just use hwho
