Mandatory Price Listing in Sales Threads

Hey EPvP community,

I’d like to propose a new rule for all marketplace threads — whether it’s cheats, accounts or services — that sellers must include a clear price (or price range) in the thread.

Why this is needed in my opinion:

Transparency for users
Threads without prices force users to DM just to find out if something is in their budget. This wastes time for both sides and clutters DMs with unnecessary messages.

Discourages sketchy practices
Without public pricing, sellers can easily quote different prices to different users, depending on how "desperate" they think a user is.

Makes informed buying decisions easier
Users often browse multiple sellers before committing. Without prices, you can't compare value-for-money or even tell if a product is worth looking into.

Easier scam detection (by the community)
Users can spot and report deals that are too good to be true or wildly overpriced if they can see the pricing. Hiding prices allows scams to hide in plain sight.

I think adding this rule would improve transparency, save time for everyone, and make the marketplace more user-friendly overall. Curious to hear what others think.

I agree, that would be a nice addition.

I don’t think that’s an ideal suggestion.

Prices fluctuate, discount codes and sales come and go, and there are often flash or popup deals. It could end up creating more problems than it's worth. For example, if a seller runs a holiday sale but forgets to update the price afterward, someone might see that discounted rate later on, expect it to still apply, and get upset when it doesn’t - leading to complaints or negative feedback for the seller.

The current rules already do a solid job addressing the concerns you mentioned.

The idea that “hiding prices allows scams to hide in plain sight” doesn’t really hold up. If you’re not comfortable with a seller or their price, you just don’t send them money. No one’s joining a Discord or visiting a website, getting an invoice for $1,000, and thinking, “Well, I guess I’m stuck here - I have to buy this now.” You can simply leave and choose not to do business with them.
