dma question

1)My motherboard does not have a PCIe x4 slot, so I will install the DMA card in a PCIe x16 slot. Will this cause any firmware changes, or will it be the same as with a PCIe x4 firmware?

2) I am thinking of a mini PC for radar applications, what are the minimum specifications, or if available, can you provide a link from Amazon?

Installing a PCIe x4 card in a PCIe x16 slot is fine and won’t cause any FW issues. PCIe slots are backward and forward compatible. The card will just operate at x4 speeds even though it's in an x16 slot. If you are super worried about it you can just look at the DMA M.2 that Captain DMA sells.

A good mini pc would be a Beelink SER5 Mini PC. Just search that and you'll see it on Amazon. You can go with something cheaper, but make sure you have 8gb of RAM.
