DarkOrbit private server development

Hey! Iam pretty new at this forum, and also in coding/developing server. I downloaded preseted DO server and started doing things, but i am not very good at it :D I want to find someone, who is gonna help me to learn something, and who knows, start the server! ^^ (i would like it ofc on old style, when there was no formations,..) but for the start anything helps :P
I will be glad for any feedback^^

You could start by remaking an already open sourced one, rather than building on it hacking your way through shitty code, start from 0 following the same structure as the source. It will still end up being shit, but you would've learn how a private server works and you could start again from 0 but with a proper architecture.

Also, frontend is going to be the same, backend will be the difference.

good luck because you can not take an open source where client is in flash (swf)
