RUST SERVER BAN ISSUE

01/01/2025 03:54 teoman1212#1
Hello everyone,

I am using Rust Dopamine, and every time I start my computer, I delete the seed.bin file, run the spoofer, and then enter the game. Despite playing legitimately on modded servers, I get banned from the server after about 1 hour or at most 2 hours.
My computer is new and I only use Dopamine.

What could be the reason for my ban? How can I resolve this issue?

Use VPN or change your public IP.

What’s the ban message? most server bans are a play style issue.

Does the message read, 'Banned: Cheating' or 'Steamauth: Gamebanned' ?

This -> 'Banned: Cheating or Hacking' = Server Ban

This -> 'Steamauth: Gamebanned' (Could also read 'PublisherBanned' as well) = gameban (banned by anticheat)

If it is the bottom one, there's something wrong with what you're using or how your setting it up.

Gotcha.

I'd imagine this is because you've been banned before and because your playing on the same IP address. Use a VPN or if you have a dynamic IP, you can just reset your router and your IP will change.

Here's how to check if its dynamic:

Enter command prompt and type ipconfig /all

If DHCP is enabled, your IP is dynamic. If it says disabled, you need to get a VPN.

Most VPN's don't work for rust atm, you'll have to search around to find one that does.

Hope this helps :)

This shows if your local LAN network uses DHCP and has nothing to do with your WAN/Public IP.

Even if your WAN settings in your router firmware shows DHCP it may be misleading as the ISP can set whatever rules they want on the leases and have reservations or even utilize CGNAT.

Your best bet is using mobile hotspot or any sort of LTE connection as this will ensure you get frequent rotating residential IPs.

In most cases I've seen, checking if DHCP is enabled or disabled has been a reliable indicator of whether their IP is dynamic or not.

However, your explanation is more detailed and accurate than mine, so I can't argue!
