Captain DMA FW

Is the "custom firmware" Captain DMA provides with their boards 1:1 or am i going to need to flash something else when my board gets here?

I have an account with a lot of hours and don't want to lose it. Thank you for any help and input :)

A lot of our customers have CaptainDMA fw and we haven't seen any ban patterns signalling that it has ever been detected (even the older non-emulated stuff). That being said it's hard to cop a FW ban on battleye.

I was running captains firmware for quite a while and never had a issue, only changed it to get VGK support as well.

Theres no way to verify 100% if any sellers firmware is true 1:1, it comes down to the sellers reputation & trust within the community. CaptainDMA is one of the largest DMA sellers so there is a very low chance they would not be selling true 1:1.

buy a firmware from either nexus dma developerment thats supplying allot of people with 1:1 and emulated fw, or with skepsis.dma ill link the sellers / owners discords below

shiba00578 - nexus.dma
midnight003219 - skepsis dma
oniceeee - also nexus but thats the dev
yeah go ahead and send money to some random discord accounts some random fresh account posted on epvp

Do you want to at least explain why you think captain dma isnt selling 1:1 firmware? Or did you also just pull that fact straight out of your ass like you did [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]? Thank you guys for all the help, community is supportive as always! I'll be sticking with Captain's FW for now then as I'll only be using it for tarkov. I really appreciate all the help you guys have been giving me since I came back.

When the term 1:1 arises, I assume this means 1 to 1 and not 1 of 1 right? As 1 of 1 would be 1/1? Mb if this is a stupid question :kappa:

1:1 is kind of an outdated term for firmware now. It used to be when most non-emulated firmwares tried to make their device look like "a random piece of hardware", that they would use a random config space on every firmware they built to avoid having duplicates. These firmwares might also be called "driverless" since they show as a yellow (!) in device manager.

Now with newer emulated firmwares that attempt to mirror real devices, this isn't really a thing, since technically the CFG space between two identical devices would be mostly the same.

There are varying levels of "emulation" too, so be sure you check out who you're working with and make sure they're legit. For Battleye/Tarkov the firmware requirements aren't too steep though.

This was very insightful and I actually wasn't aware of this as I'm very new to DMA. You're proving to be very helpful since I've started my DMA journey. P.S when my gear gets in definitely going with you.
