Non vm install guide?

Does anyone have a non vm install guide for the Linux side for boi/woi? I've got actual physical servers at my house and would like to setup and tinker with this. I don't trust random vms. I've gone through idk 50 pages of threads here and haven't found anything yet. I'm not very proficient in Linux to be able to figure out what's needed for Linux side. Windows side that's not an issue.

you should try it and you will know what problems you will face. From there you will have a way to set up the right environment to be able to run this game.
but if you want to ask for help, I think no one can spend free time to help you. This is very normal.
And setting up the environment needed to run this server is also an important skill, requiring some knowledge about networking, software, libraries on linux. At least have basic understanding of linux environment. Otherwise, you cannot run the game, and will have problems with the data system, most servers will close after a period of operation due to data system errors due to not knowing how to configure properly.

I do thank you for the input but this is simply to tinker with at this point. I can do everything aside from setting up Linux. I'm proficient in mssql and mysql along with website stuff and more from running a range of servers from mobile games to pc games. I know enough on Linux to tinker and such. The main issue is there is absolutely nothing around either form for either needed dependencys nor a simple working sh file to get needed dependencys atleast a working one that is. Only one I found that used to work way back in the day no longer works(i know becausei used it way back in the day). Due to what I'm guessing is centos vault simply not having them.

Also vms you have no idea what people have installed in them and is not safe at all.
