It was probably valves own doing for streamers and their friends, its all about the money and keep the cs2 casino running. :) you can buy as many passes as you want you know..

It was modded with debugger or something but its patched already

It worked by capturing the networking traffic/packet that send you into the queue and you could manually edit/send the modified packet which changed the gamemode into Team deathmatch which Valve left in the games code.
Ofcourse there are no servers for it but Valve's servers would just assign one to you since you are requesting it.
The reason why you gained so much XP/Tokens is because of the team deathmatch gamemode having the old CS:GO's XP calculations.
Some people/streamers got a trade ban and they apply a logic which checks if you gained a ammount of tokens/xp within a certain time (A certain time that would not be human possible or without the use of tools / the exploited lobby).
This method of detecting botters/bugs is also getting applied to casefarm botters and in CS:GO they used to detect prime lvl 21 farmers.
