What is ARP Ban?

i think if you play 2 matches and get Banned With Error Code VAL 5

Means you are ARP banned i heard.

But what is the meaning of ARP ban?

The adress resolution protocol (ARP) is a network protocol used to map IP addresses to MAC addresses in a local area network, allowing devices to find and communicate with each other. It works by sending requests to determine the MAC address associated with an IP address and storing this information in a table for future communications. It is essential for connectivity in local networks but can be vulnerable to attacks such as ARP Spoofing.

So Spoofing MAC address will solve it?

Your ban can not only be by ARP, it can be by TPM ban quietly

Okay, I'm gonna explain it since the answers I've seen here are pretty ass, no disrespect.

I'm only gonna explain exactly what you want to know;

Vanguard usually only bans the first entry of your ARP Table, which is your main router.
It specifically bans the MAC Address of YOUR ROUTER.

Most routers do not support / allow changing the MAC Address, that's why OpenWRT is needed, you can change it in 5 seconds, as many times as you want.

I was reading the answers and was exactly thinking the same. Finally someone gave a good reply.

Same issue after every spoof,

My thinking was just changing the public ip address would work but no you need a new router mac address, which was my first first first point but the devs here didnt know they all said nah riot cant see router mac thats why i started thinking ip address, my reasoning was correct early on just to be lead down a blind path by the "devs".

Someone even said oh thats only for wifi if you are ethernet you are gucc dont worry about that. NOT TRUE

But when I asked these spoofer devs they said no thats not a problem we spoof mac address, i ask specifically mac address of router, no they said riot cant see that, we arp spoof the mobo mac .



I think to play valorant you just need spoof and this openwrt router, I am seeing people buy whole new pcs and they still get banned cause their router its still the same.

They didnt need a new pc just a new router.

Also I read raid0 needs to be done on nvme not "ssd".


I have yet to see a wizard here who knows his shit most seem like reseller with basic knowledge or script kiddies. Its a very touch and go thing for them they learn and correct on the spot, they dont have any solid background.

It feels like with a good software engineer you can make a killer product , people are leaving money on the table here.

getting banned after 2 hours doesn't have to do with ARP bans boss.
And if you're not a techy guy, I would recommend just letting that idea go cuz it will get u in a rabbithole of thoughts xD
I have seen people above explain it fine (some explain it wrong lmao), but a ban after 2 matches can mean a lot more than just ARP

Not related with ARP, ARP ban is just part of HWID Ban
