7 Day Ban for RMT

Long time lurker, but finally created an account today after AGS finally caught me and to hopefully help anyone else.

My Mule account and main received a 7 day ban today. No idea on if they wiped my gold or what, I will update on 9/11. I was purchasing what i believed to be hand-farm gold, but like a lot of people used the same guy over and over. I think they eventually became a middle man and the most recent purchase of 600k using accessories is what triggered the flag. I also purchased the 1st title but was with gold I actually earned myself in-game believe it or not. Not sure if that gets you on a watch list then the next purchase after it is what got me Hopefully its not that big of a hit or at worst gold set to 0.

It was only a Lvl 3 offense, does anyone know if they wipe gold or is it hit or miss? Thanks for any help/advice

How long ago was the 600k purchase before you got banned?

from what i read here, its a mix of things. Some would get a small portion deducted, some are wiped to zero, then there are some are deep in negative gold.

everyone will claim they sell hadfarmed gold. just dont believe their “trust me bro” reasoning

ya it was 10 to 12 orders in smaller amounts, it was recent so im pretty sure this is the one that did it. Didnt really even need it, just wanted to replenish the gold i earned myself from buying the 1st despite having a large pool of gold i RMTed for. Hopefully just a small amnt or just this last buy

Hey there, i just discovered this forum area. I'm quite in chock of all the people claiming to be banned.

Through my experience, I have never had an issue ' until now ' selling at best 120k a week. Sometimes the gold stock doesn't get sold only to the week after, so I traded with 1 ancient for 200k+ ( done it twice ) and like i said none of my clients complained about a ban, some of them want to buy even more but my stock is generated from raids and tradeskill so gold is tight.

However after reading this, I ve been thinking about after telling my clients that i have no more gold, they probably would head towards a seller who has the amount they're looking for, and what if that seller is SUS behind the scenes and AGS actually catchs those transactions, it might be able to track me too resulting in my ban , which is what i do not want.


I think, and this is what i concluded from the posts i've been through, that i should review with whom I do business with as a gold seller.

I strongly beleive that gold generated purely from raids is not tracked if sold in small amounts and with different hours, but that only depends on sellers .
And perhaps an advice that might help sellers/buyers, try to split the gold amounts through weeks and small amounts, and also to build a fake conversation and friendship in-game with your sellers.

I think if its hand farmed you are ok, my seller im pretty sure got greedy and mixed in some dirty gold this time around in addition to buying the 1st title. Ill know in a few days what the damage is though and can give more details on if they went further back than just this transaction.

So what was your sanction now that you can log in ?

Only 100k taken thank the lord, so 2 pieces from the amount i bought was dirty. No additional gold removed overall.

Yeah I had similar thoughts too. People get caught for handmade as well but the cases of handmade sellers getting perma or 1 month ban that I have seen is because a customer is an RMT whale and buys a lot of gold. Some botted some handfarm from you. This triggers a manual review by a human who can catch you selling, handmade or not. TFM Race has proven that they have the ability to catch handmade RMT.

Two things I know for sure

1. RMT Whales do get their accounts manually reviewed by a human in recent weeks/months.

2. They are catching handmade sellers, especially in the most recent 2-3 weeks. The reason why? Some say the method of sending. This is plausible. I also believe they have been manually reviewing big offenders in recent weeks.
