It would be monumentally easy to detect concurrent connections from the same IP and wouldn't take a huge update to do so, maybe 6 or 7 lines of code on the connect/disconnect routines that's all.

There's many reasons this wouldn't be a good move and probably why they haven't done it before. Net cafés for instance usually use the same IP for all the PCs, and a lot of DB business is done with people who use net cafés. Home networks as well will generally use the same IP for the PCs using it, even some ISPs work with a VPN or NAT system that make all the users share the same IP. It would be a definate shot in the foot if they did this as multiple connections from the same IP does not mean that someone is multiclienting.

say this was released.....how exactly, could one use proxies to connect to conquer? I've only used in firefox >.>

you could use a socksifier going through an open SOCKS server., or hack yourself some boxes and install proxies on 'em. To do this, setup a port listener on your home connection listening on known exploit ports, 80, 113 etc.. .and log the incoming IPs on those ports, these IPs will usually be pre-hacked boxes scanning for open ports. You should be able to gain access to these boxes quite easily as they have already been hacked by someone else.

My proxy wont help you as you run it on your own PC, so your IP would be the same as if you are connecting directly.

well if they start banning people for multiclient conquers gonna close cuz 3/4 of the population will disapear. if this is true tq is full of mentally retarded people and either its true or the person who made this post doesnt like people using multiclient and is trying to scare us off of it
