Is the DMA broken/Incompatible with my Hardware or the FW?

My DMA's LED is Orange. When I use the DMA Test tool, I get this Error:

DEVICE: FPGA: ScreamerM2 PCIe gen1 x1 [300,25,500] [v4.13,0700] [ASYNC,NORM,FWCUST]
FPGA: TINY PCIe TLP algrithm auto-selected!

Not sure what is going on.

I have a Asus Rog Strix B550-A Gaming Motherboard and the DMA is a MVP 35T from AliBaba that came with a pre flashed fw.

I did a clean Windows 10 Install, Bios Update, IOMMU is disabled, CSM and Secure Boot are disabled as well. The USB is plugged in a 3.0 Port and the USB-C is plugged in the Data Port of the DMA.

Make sure you do all the BIOS Setup (disabling vt-d, iommu, virtualization, etc.) on the new motherboard. Otherwise if all troubleshooting/setup fails, your FW may have a conflict with hardware on your new PC (rare but can happen).

Reseat card and cable in all slots, etc. (with power off first)

100% agree with lone, I have random hiccups with mine, but the biggest thing that slowed my initial setup down was one of the MB settings was actually buried and required me to turn a setting on to get to the setting i had to turn off :)

I have followed countless tutorials & even spent 8+ hours trying to get it working. Fresh windows install on windows 10 22h2 & everything. I have just ordered a new mobo hoping that solves the problem as mine is an 8 year old b350. Had jack over at phoenix labs (goated guy) hop on anydesk & checked both my pcs & firmware, everything was all good & he was just as confused.

It could be a firmware conflict too. Working with a good firmware dev can sometimes help.. A lot of times they'll have you flash default firmware to test, and you can rule out whether it's your card / firmware, or an actual issue with your Mobo, etc.

I always recommend buying your card/firmware from a reputable source as it can come in handy in cases like this.

Hope your new mobo works though :D There's a good chance it will

Appreciate the good vibes & im back with good news!
New mobo worked! to anyone with the same problem i met another dude through discord who also had a b350 & was having the same issue. Seems like b350 mobos just dont work well with current DMA cards.

Awesome :)

I've heard of a lot of people having issues with B series mobos like B350/B550, but it varies person to person.

I have a DMA sitting in my draw to put in tomorrow, and I have a B550M Plus motherboard, so that's fantastic to hear.

Try power cycling both PC's and / or try a different PCIe slot. Contact me on discord if you need further help :)

The orange light without any specific board manual doesn't make much sense to us. Each board type is different. Was your card working before? Any chance you can obtain a manual/FAQ for your card?
