Stop sellers from spam promoting in threads.

As the title says, many sellers (Mostly resellers) are spam promoting their services/shops, in almost every threads outside of the black market, which i think is degrading the contact and honest opinions of the threads people make.

It shouldn’t be allowed to promote your own services/shops outside of the black market, just as it isn’t allowed to sell anything outside of the black market.

This obviously doesn’t mean out users aren’t allowed to give their opionions about products/services, it should simply just not be allowed for someone to promote their own services/shops outside of black market.

This is already forbidden except the OP is asking for it (e.g. looking for an offer).

Why isn’t it being forced then? I have reported plenty of posts the last week, and the sellers still keep promoting their services/shops.

I think it should be punished more and be more clear what’s allowed, most of the sellers will post something related to the thread, then direct the thread owner to their own services/shop.

These are just some of the recently providers that promote in others threads.

It shouldn't be allowed for sellers to promote their own services/shops.

Check VALORANT Forum and the only thing you'll see is self-promoting (even if OP did not requested) and these users are never punished.

3 Post in 1 Thread while someone is just asking a simple question.

Too lazy to link every single thread but this guy keeps spamming every single thread regardless what topic it is about

Most of the threads you've linked are users looking for an offer, it's perfectly fine for sellers to participate with their products in topics like this (as said in my initial post).

Yeah but my suggestion is about not allowing sellers to promote their own services/shops, it is starting to be kinda like spamming each post for them, when you have 3-6 providers saying the same phrase on every post, it’s not adding any meaningfull value to the threads topic, even if the OP is looking for “The best cheat” or “Most ud cheat history” every single provider us just going to say what they sell is “The best” or “Have everything you need” even if it isn’t by the most known people on the Forums, not a good product etc.

There isn’t any real difference from normal spam to the kind of spam promotion, these sellers do, in my opinion.

We'll discuss this internally. I understand your point, but those posts will probably shift to third-party users who refer to the offers of the sellers, so you're basically just switching the messenger.

Anyway, it’s a fair point to bring up for discussion.

True that might happen, but i do think it offers a better value for the people, to have third party people linking/promoting these services/shops, since everyone that are worth listening to would have +rep on here.

Thank you, i would like to know if it’s something that would change. :)

For once I have no idea on how you would combat this issue of sellers 'forcing' their products when it isn't asked for. Obviously you can take the traditional route of warning / infracting users, however persistent advertisers wouldn't really care about this. Perhaps an initial written warning to the user for repeated offences, then if they continue, added to a shadow role (non-visible to users) which disallows users in this role to post links in their posts, but still allow them to post Black Market threads? As users advertising their products in TBM / Signatures aren't an issue, however, forcing the product down the throats of consumers when it isn't asked for, is.

I agree. I do think that people that post “Check my bio” isn’t any better than people that post a link.
Both should be considered “Promoting spam” in my opinion.

But good suggestions for some kind of black “Invisible” role. I do think it would be better to have it so, people aren’t allowed to post in threads at all if they keep spam promoting after multiple warnings.

You maybe wanna spam less,
almost 1/3 of your posts is useless spam all over the forum that is not related to the Thread or just Flamebaiting just to promote your Signature.

B2T:
I agree,
postings like
Quote:
look at my bio
random discord names or similar things should be considered spam.

People open threads to promote there Cheats, they already have the ability to push these threads, so there is no need to spam advertise in every other thread.
Users like the one Quoted above are the perfect example why these rules regarding posting/offering cheats should be tightened way harder.
They only spam the forum with useless BS to promote there Cheats.
