Playing around with a captain gen4 card. In a computer somewhere else it works fine, connect from main PC to secondary PC. Now on my gaming PC to another secondary PC doesnt work. On Secondary PC it appears as "USB Device failed device decryptor request failed" . Tried installing drivers on secondary PC but still get same issue sayign there is no device. If i take the card and take it to the other guy pc it works fine there. JTSG works fine on my set but not the data part/ Anyone has any idea how to fix this?

This is the second card i get (first one was replaced thinking was broken but seems it wasnt since it works too on other system.)

Tried diferent USB ports, cables, CPI slots on gaming pc. Have everythign related to protection disable in both, also virtualization etc. PCIE slot set as gen1. Anyone any idea?

1. Check Hardware Compatibility and Connections
  • Check connections: Ensure that the Captain Gen4 card is properly seated in the PCIe slot. Also, make sure all USB cables are securely connected.
  • Swap USB ports and cables: Try different USB ports and various USB cables to rule out a faulty port or cable.
  • Switch PCIe slots: Test different PCIe slots on your gaming PC to exclude the possibility of a faulty slot.
2. Update Drivers and Firmware
  • Update drivers: Download and install the latest drivers for the Captain Gen4 card from the manufacturer's official website on both the gaming PC and the secondary PC.
  • Firmware update: Check if there is a firmware update for the Captain Gen4 card and apply it if available.
3. Verify BIOS/UEFI Settings
  • BIOS/UEFI settings: Ensure that the PCIe settings in the BIOS/UEFI are correctly configured. Sometimes changing the PCIe generation (e.g., Gen1, Gen2, Gen3) helps.
  • CSM and UEFI: Make sure Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is enabled or disabled as required by the card.
  • Virtualization and protection features: Temporarily disable virtualization technologies and other protection features to rule out their impact.
4. Analyze Error Messages and Event Logs
  • Review error messages: Look closely at the exact error message ("USB Device failed device decryptor request failed") and search for similar issues in online forums or the manufacturer's knowledge base.
  • Analyze event logs: Open the Event Viewer on your gaming PC and check the logs for relevant errors or warnings.
5. Test the Card in a Different Environment
  • Test in another system: Test the Captain Gen4 card in another computer (not part of your network) to ensure the card itself is working fine.
  • Compare configurations: Compare the hardware and software configurations between the working and non-working setups to identify any differences.
6. Run Advanced Diagnostic Tools
  • Use diagnostic tools: Utilize diagnostic tools like USBDeview or other hardware diagnostic programs to get detailed information about the connected devices and their status.
  • Compatibility tests: Run compatibility tests to ensure there are no conflicts between the Captain Gen4 card and other components.

Why are you using Interface 3 and not 0?
