Account blocked/verification needed

Today I was notified that someone had hacked my account Steam then wanted credit card details for verification I then sent this, my account has 2FA and phone number.

But support won't activate my account because I can't name a CD key that's more than 15 years old Are they actually crazy? Who still has CD keys from 15 years ago these days?

My CS2 inventory is ~650€ and they simply no longer activate the account. Is it still okay?
I said to send my ID so they can verify that it's me based on the credit card details, but that doesn't work either. Just a CD key from 15 years ago. Incomprehensible.

Does anyone have similar experiences, does anyone know a good lawyer who can take on these fraudulent schemes by Valve?

Thats how they do it..

Just create a new support ticket, if you are lucky you get another supporter who actually want to help you.

Say goodbye to your account forever. You cant do anything without your first photo of physical CD KEY

The whole steam userbase is in the same boat, you either need the CD key or be extremely lucky and hit a support agent that is fine with just recent payment info. Lost multiple 20 year old accs this way :feelsbadman:

That's is how valve works CD keys are common, most of the problem doesnt get resolved.
I'll suggest to create another ticket and ask them to help you.
