Fpga error 0000

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with my CaptainDMA card purchased from Sugargoo. I followed the instructions carefully and double-checked everything with the atomic fw guide, it is generally the same as other flashing tools.

The problem:

*before flashing atomics fw i was able to run speed test*

After flashing the card with Atomic's FW I get the error message " DEVICE: FPGA: ERROR: Unable to connect to FPGA device [0,v0.0,0000] ."
I also see " VMM INIT FAILED ," which I believe is cause by the FPGA error.
Troubleshooting steps taken:

Reseated the card in different PCIe slots.
Disabled various settings in the BIOS.
Reflashed different firmwares multiple times.
Uninstalled and reinstalled FTDI drivers.
Power cycled both the gaming PC and radar PC
Tried using Memmap tool (only tried with Atomic's FW).
Switched USB cables.
Re-downloaded WinUSB drivers.
Additional information:

FTDI FT601 still shows in device manager on radar pc.

The green LED on the green side of the card blinks constantly ( I have been told that this is normal, also have been told that it should not be happening never got a clear answer).

I've attempted flashing with 3 different firmwares, but the issue persists.

Looking for help:

Has anyone else encountered similar issues with their CaptainDMA card? I am new to DMA and any help would be greatly appreciated, if you have had this problem and been able to fix it please contact my discord.

If I don't respond here quickly, you can also reach me on Discord: oiiinawwww.

Usually this is a couple things:

1) Make sure the FTDI driver is installed on your radar pc

2) Make sure you disabled virtualization in your game PC Bios (some people don't need to do this, but found it helps reduce issues people have)
disable vt-d for intel
disable svm for amd
disable IOMMU/Virtualization

3) Make sure you have a good usb 3.0 cable and you're in a usb 3.0 port. Re-install usb/chipset drivers on your radar pc. Re-seat your cable, try different usb port, try different PCI Slot for the DMA Card, etc.

4) Set windows power plan to 'High Performance' on Radar PC.

All a bunch of things that can usually work through an issue like this, which is rare but can occur for some users :)

If none of this works I'd try checking in with whomever you purchased your firmware from.

Sounds like a firmware compatibility issue more than likely, as you mentioned the card worked prior to flashing so that is a great sign. I have seen this before as well and recommend flashing basic FW back onto the card, verify it gets reads and rule out the FW. :) HMU on discord if you need help with anything, we are willing to help.
