I just want to see if the interview was legit. I wouldn't be surprised if Brodie was cheating himself. I'm looking at creating a YT channel, if you'd wanna do another interview let me know. hahaQuote:
Yes I let KapzLocked interview me. I wouldn't worry too much if you are a PO user because I really didn't say anything substantial. In fact most cheat users would be bored to death by the interview because the information given is so surface level
I did not help Ricochet or put a target on PO imo through the interview. Even if they implemented all of my theoretical advice, it wouldn't be a problem for PO. They won't though because there is no chance Activision would allow them to implement any of those changes
As for why I did the interview, I like talking about things I'm into but I'd say the biggest reason was to just see what would happen if, for once, real information was posted into the hacker hunter YouTuber space. Those guys have been reporting completely false information for years & it was almost like a science experience to just see what would happen if for once they just released something that wasn't full of BS
To be fair to them I think that the reason they usually release BS is because their sources until this video were basically Discord resellers

they dont care about closet cheaters why? because they spend money on the game unlike ragers so yes roi on proper anti cheat will hit their pockets much more than just spending money on improving itQuote:
Much if not all of the measures you suggested ricochet do is basically what FACEIT/VGK already does, if not more, surprised it all boils down to a ROI issue, anticheat could have an indirect impact on sales/playerbase can't it? Is Activison really THAT worried that having a little popup telling users to enable TPM in their bios is going to decimate their causal base?

Yeah. Making gamers enter BIOS to play a game is not something any publicly traded company wants to doQuote:

A provider's security isn't based on if they let a YouTuber interview them with basic questions or notQuote:
After the detection last fall(~6-7mo) I haven't used PO yet. But this is all just my own take. I know many users might share the same opinion.
I'm notQuote:
Zeb you buggin bud.
Team Ricochet's priorities are not based on interviews or PR efforts of cheat developers. They already know about the cheats that are publicly available. Zebleer should continue to run his business as he sees fit, without fear of doing what he's interested in or what grows his user base. By doing PR he is not hurting his security.Quote:

I've been a fan of PO for a bit mostly on Halo Infinite actually. I'd say most people here have a lot of respect for the success you've had. I know you already mentioned you wouldn't be doing an interview again mostly because of how PO users felt as a result of the video which is great but I will say people should also know nobody needed that interview except you. I would imagine your time is valuable and you don't spend much of it on something you don't explicitly buy into. That being said, there was some ego involved in helping make it. Of course you're entitled to choosing what you want your success to look like and by the looks of it, that's definitely not the silent kind of success. Video will likely have zero impact security wise and might actually help you with promotion/sales. But PR has gotten far bigger organizations into trouble in the past. I personally don't use anything that attracts attention. No matter what kind of security measures you have it's not the greatest look. After the detection last fall(~6-7mo) I haven't used PO yet. But this is all just my own take. I know many users might share the same opinion.
