How to fix this error message

03/03/2024 00:19 Mech69#1
I just finished installing a DMA board and while testing out the radar i noticed this error message in the console. Does anyone know why i might be receiving it?
fpga: bad pcie tlp received! should not happen!

I've been searching g00gle for answers all day and haven't been able to figure this out.

Thanks:mindblown:

Hey bro, when you tested the board did you run straight into a game with it or run some tests on the board prior to make sure it getting good reads? Also its not probable to assume it’s instantly dead just because you see that single error, definitely some wrong messaging in this thread lol. Bad TLP could be firmware related issue as well, which card and firmware do you have? If you need some test tools hmu on here as well.

I ran lone-dma test tool all tests passed. the dma is an immortal knight. i have 2 of these boards and both do the same thing so i think it is in my settings or firmware possibly. The leechcore version is 2.16.11.62. I have swapped the boards and cables. still acts the same. i am too new to throw a pic up.
I have been using clutch radar and everything is working.

The board is Immortal_knight. I ran lone-dma test multiple times after it was all set up everything passed. FW version shows 2.16.11.62. Everything works fine. I had been using clutch_radar without issues. I have been through setup multiple times so my guess would be firmware although I have no idea where to find it. I'm still searching for information.

Perfect, if you can pass Lone’s test tool that’s definitely a good sign the board is alive :) . Was the throughput normal as well? 150MB/s or better is a solid place to be at.

the through was 190.80 MB/s
Thank you for replying to my issue i really appreciate that. I have been checking out your site and joined your DC under a diff user name.

Most of time the "fpga: bad pcie tlp received! should not happen!" error can be ignored

I get it sometimes too, and it doesn't cause any problems.

If you're getting endlessly spammed with it, that may be a diff story.

Yes i get spammed with it, mainly when I'm in the character screen or waiting for map to load but it still logs the rest of the lines normally. It is hundreds of lines in one setting. I've been playing 2 hours or so at a time. Tasking sucks!

This error may cause certain functions of Cheese that you are currently running to suddenly fail, and this is irreparable, most likely due to damage to the FPGA chip. If you have just purchased it recently, please contact for a refund or replacement as soon as possible.
