• Fishing System
  Passive spear-based fishing allows you to grab any spear and stand at the water’s edge in Fisherman’s Cove. Type /fish to start and catch fish every few seconds - plus the occasional meteor! Track your progress with your Fishing Logs & Milestones, chase 55 milestone tiers for high-value rewards (+3 to +6 stones), and team up to solve a Daily Ritual Puzzle that reduces fish costs at the Camp Stove. Additionally, embark on the Wind Bell Quest, where you have a rare chance to fish up a Wind Bell and trade it for extra CP in a mini-quest.
  
• The Fragmented Realm
  Explore six unique floating platforms with different monsters and collect map fragments in this mystical dimension. Exchange all six map fragments at Aria in Ape City for a Socket Tome and +6, +7, or +8 Stones. VIP players enjoy auto-looted runes and fragments. All players can enjoy a 30% EXP bonus and x2 drop rates for stones, meteors, and DragonBalls in the Fragmented Realm.
  
• Brute Coins & “The Above”
  Earn Brute Coins through activities like staying online, worshipping while afk in "The Above", winning Guild Wars, looting Fabled Coffers and defeating monsters. Spend them at WildGirl in “The Above” for socketed items, attribute boosters and even server-wide events.
  
• Echo Bot / AI PvP Bot
  Duel AI bots with varying difficulties and climb the rankings with our AI PvP Battles. You can select various difficulties and battle an Echo Bot to practice your linear skills. BruteCO has linear skills for every class!
  
• Discord Bots
  Our Discord bot, Brutus, offers quests, events, notifications, and socketing simulations. Participate in Lottery draws and use the Socket Simulator for better planning. Brutus will use the automated mail system and send rewards to your mailbox in-game! Stay updated with key in-game announcements relayed directly to Discord through real-time notifications.
  
• Day/Night System
  Enjoy a dynamic environment with 2-hour days and 30-minute nights featuring smooth realistic transitions. Encounter more aggressive “Bloodthirsty” monsters at night with faster movement and higher damage, but higher respawn rates. You can also trade Black Pearls for high-tier gear from the elusive Midnight Merchant who appears only during the night at random.
  
• Socket Chance & Magic Find
  Build your character with enhanced Magic Find and Socket Chance attributes, increasing your rates and making your character even more unique and valuable versus others.
  
• Garment Packs & Legendary Skins
  Discover legendary-tier garments with iconic themes like Naruto, Jinx, Sauron, and more through Garment Packs and Epic Strongboxes. You can donate for these, or simply find them in-game while playing! Low rates for higher-rarity garments within Garment Packs make legendary garments more valuable and less saturated throughout the player base.
  
• Sandstorm Gauntlet & Rankings
  Battle endless waves of monsters, as long as you can stay alive for within the Sandstorm Gauntlet! Try out our wave based mini-game, where you are in a small map and hunt waves of monsters, that increasingly get harder. Now you can tackle more mobs per wave and face increased chances of boss mobs in the Sandstorm Gauntlet. Climb the weekly rankings on our website and earn CP rewards for top performers.
  
• Stock Market
  Become an investor by investing in various simulated "businesses" within BruteCO. You can make investments at the Crystals in Market and watch your holdings appreciate or decline at random. There are also random events that can occur that are good or bad, affecting a random stock/business price.

  We continuously improve the server with fixes, changes, server stability overhauls, and new systems. You guys can shape the server into what you want it to be within reason. Interesting - looks like you've done quite a lot of work on your own here. Sorry to hear your server has been struggling with player retention, but hopefully you get some of that back by advertising. Honestly, looks like you have a lot of potential. I hope you continue to work on this.

On the topic of AI, I'm actually really happy to see that you haven't leaned super heavily into it. Like, your website descriptions are genuine and not generated, and the same with all your patch notes. That's really refreshing to see. I'm personally not for generative AI as a replacement for talent, but maybe you can consider hiring voice acting for key lines / phrases from super cheap actors in the future? I know a few very talented friends who could possibly do voice acting for a super low cost.

Anyways, gripes on AI aside, good luck with your server.

Player retention is a most definitely a challenge. I figure all I can do is stick through it by doing what I can to grow and show the community that we are a reputable, dedicated and consistently evolving server. I imagine with a lot of other server owners this would be the time to shut er' down and rebrand myself and the server and start again. :rolleyes: A low player base fortunately doesn't trump my passion for working on the server and creating something that is unique and has character. Yes, running a server is a business but it can be better for everyone if it's a hobby too.

During my initial thoughts of voicing NPCs I did look into voice actors but it seemed a little pricey. Eventually I'd like to go that route, this was more so to get things in place and see how the community felt about it. Yes you can tell it's AI voiced but it's a good placeholder that brings some (artificial :o) life and immersion to the game. I'll definitely be in touch with you at some point regarding getting in contact with some voice actors/actresses!

I too always loved older versions of CO. We have eliminated many newer features that I believe ruined the game in some ways. However we still aren't officially classic. I assure you BruteCO is still worth a try! Thanks for your interest and good luck. 👍

Seems pretty nitpicky, but you do you. There aren't a lot of good intentioned servers out there, though... and this one seems to do a lot of things right in terms of classic feel by the descriptions / reading the discord chats.

It's been awhile since I have found a server worth playing again (for me, personally). This one fits the bill pretty well. It's medium(ish) rates so you can progress fairly quickly till end game stuff where it slows as it should. You won't join and be full 2 socket in a week or two, but you can definitely get lucky and work out 1-2.

Twelve runs a very tight ship and has done well with the server features and is very responsive to anything you bring up. There is a decently active player base, although we could definitely use a few new faces. This is a very satisfying server to play though, I haven't had this much fun on Conquer in a long time.

Come check it out and see what all the fuss is about.

I’m very excited to introduce the new fishing system in BruteCO, bringing a new dynamic and engaging experience for all players. The fishing system is designed to offer various fish types with different rarities and weights which you can exchange for rewards, providing a challenging fairly passive yet rewarding activity.

• Enter Fisherman’s Cove from Conductress near the center of Twin City.
• Fishing requires a spear now.
• Go to edge of water in the map to fish, type /fish to begin.
• You will make a fishing attempt every 5 seconds. You can catch a fish, or a meteor.
• Fish types include Shrimp, Sardine, Herring, Trout, Pike, Salmon, Tuna, Lobster, Swordfish, Shark, and Sturgeon.
• Each fish type has a specified rarity and weight range.
• The fishing system generates fish with weights biased towards the lower end, introducing variability factors and adjustments based on player proficiency and equipment enhancements.

Fishing – Daily Ritual System
Introducing the Magical Camp Stove, where players can participate in daily rituals to earn special rewards:

• Players must solve a daily ritual puzzle by entering the correct sequence of three fish.
• The sequence is randomly generated each day and players can earn clues by offering fish.
• Clues provide hints about the sequence, such as the first or last fish, or pairs of fish within the sequence.
• Players can contribute fish together to unlock clues, with a universal counter tracking the total fish offered.
• The daily ritual is reset daily at 04:45 Server Time.
• Completing a ritual puzzle makes fish sacrificing cost only 20 fish instead of 30 for the day.

Fishing – Sacrificing and Offering Fish
Players can interact with the Magical Camp Stove to sacrifice fish or contribute to the daily ritual:

• Sacrifice 30 fish to receive a Sacred Pouch and other rewards.
• Contribute up to 40 fish at a time to unlock clues for the daily ritual.
• Special rewards and reduced sacrifice costs are available once the daily ritual is solved.

Fishing – Windbell Quest
This quest immerses players in a heartfelt story involving Shirley, who has lost a precious Windbell given to her by her brother before he went to war.

• Retrieve Shirley’s lost Windbell by fishing and deliver a message to her brother.

Fishing – Milestone Rewards
Grandma Li in the Fisherman’s Cove offers a milestone reward system. This new feature allows players to track their fishing progress and earn valuable rewards by reaching specific milestones.

Each fish type has specific milestone counts players need to reach to earn rewards. For example:

• Common fish: Milestones at 100, 250, 500, 1000, 5000 catches
• Uncommon fish: Milestones at 100, 250, 500, 1000, 5000 catches
• Rare fish: Milestones at 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 catches
• Epic fish: Milestones at 5, 10, 25, 50, 100
• Legendary fish: Milestones at 1, 3, 5, 10, 25 catches

For each milestone reached, players have a chance to receive one of the following rewards:

• 40% chance for a +3 stone
• 30% chance for a +4 stone
• 20% chance for a +5 stone
• 10% chance for a +6 stone

Fishing – Rankings
DuSan in Fisherman’s Cove allows players to view their personal fishing logs and the all-time rankings for the biggest catches, adding a competitive and engaging element to the fishing system.

This is the main details of the fishing system. Experiment and discuss in the Discord, rates and systems may be adjusted in the future.

its real encouraging to see some servers out there that are doing new things and arent just in it for the money like 80% of the "servers" out there now. heard alot of positive things about bruteco and hope to see you guys continue working to be a unique and proper server. tired of seeing servers change names every month and come up with some bs excuse on why they need to wipe accounts and then on top of that making the server almost impossible to get anywhere so they can sell accounts for 200$+. wish you the best of luck, Bump
