Question for Detections and HWID bans

Hello,

Im confused on how detections and hwid bans works.

Like lets say ill play one week with Kernaim in Apex Legends.
3 Days after that they get detected and a ban wave is happening.

Will i be banned to and if yes how, when i didnt used it for 3 days??
Maybe a stupid question but i dont understand that.

i doubt you will get banned along with the banwave

Well but sometimes i heard from stuff that happend like this and i wonder how

In that specific scenario, sometimes a game could have already detected the chair and they just didn't ban anyone yet until said ban wave comes out.

Example, let's say the game released a ban wave on 1/15, but really they already detected the chair on 1/5. If you played within the gap between 1/5 and 1/15, you'll for sure be banned. If you played before 1/5 and didn't use the chair anymore, sometimes you might get lucky and don't get caught in the ban wave.

This isn't always the case, but a possible scenario and something we've seen happen before.

Just cause a ban wave happens doesn't always mean it was just detected on that specific day. It could have been earlier and the game could of just been holding off on banning until they have a bigger base to hit with a ban wave.

Its simple. You use cheats, you get banned. Ban wave or single handedly ban you get banned at end of road. There's no such things on epvp as "undetected" cheese. They are all detected.

Banwaves are usually delayed. That means that the detection happened for example on 01.02 but the bans are handed out on 10.02. If you played before 01.02 you will be fine. If you played after 01.02 you will get banned.

Both BattlEye and EAC also sometimes ban based on their logs they collected. So even if you played before 01.02 and stopped, you can still get banned.

(Dates are just selected as an example)
