You said you have no experience, so here is some advice:
Firstly, in-case you haven't noticed, this is a marketing forum.
These people are all trying to sell you something.
This is not the place to ask technical questions, as even most of the sellers on this site are just resellers and pasters.
The general overview is, VAC is pretty bad.
Almost all of their detection features are 3-4 years old and receive little updates
They've been training their VACNet AI for half a decade, but in reality, they won't even let it ban the people that it HAS detected, so for now, ignore it.
There's some decent thread detection, but if you've made a cheat for anything in the past 5 years, you'd be fine.
If you really want an indication as to security, there's still people creating their own handles or "hijacking" (DuplicateHandle) LSASS handles, without issue.
Meaning Valve either doesn't care, or is extremely incompetent.
As far as being a customer goes, just go with the CS2 "Trusted Cheats" list, and stick to one of those.
These lists are somewhat acceptable, and usually have a few goodies on there for a new user.
As usual, there's some generic advice for dealing with anybody on this site.
If they say x is undetectable, they're wrong.
If they say you need DMA or kernelmode for VAC, they're stupid or scamming you.
And at the end of the day, you never really know what you're buying, or if you're dealing with a paster/scammer/reseller.
