Help needed to solve server status CHECK

01/12/2024 18:08 NoobHater#1
Hello, i need some help to fix the server status on check issue.
I figured out it could be either the SR_ShardManager or SR_GameServer, as only those two services fail to login to the database ("DB connection failed!").
Does anyone know how to fix those issues? all other services seem fine, connected to database and all.

PS: yes I have started the Shard from the SMC tool but its still on red, unlike the Common which turned on green after hitting the start button on it.

Wrong .ini configuration (inside the certification folder).

Check DBConnect and ODBC, too

thanks for your help but apparently I'm incapable of finding the issue in those ini files. the only ini files I have modified from the cert stuff are the following 3 in the screenshot bellow.

Those are the files I am talking about.
Check ODBC and DBConnect.asp as well.

Watch these videos, perhaps you might have missed a step:

Are you certain global manager is connected to account database? I could not see it in the screenshot. Your problem is certainly certification related. It could be that your database names are incorrect (for instance, your inis are looking for SRO_VT_SHARDLOG where in a lot of cases the restored database's name is LOG_DB). Make sure "SERVER-ASTRO-1\SQLEXPRESS" is the correct name as well.

This will be a problem later, even if you fix that it will not fix your current DB connection problem. The files should be in the releases "CGI.."-something I think it was called (a few *.asp files). You need IIS web server installed to run those and once you get it running you put that URL in your server.cfg, SR_ShardManager {
...
BILLING_SERVER_URL
...
}

(I might be wrong, im writing from memory, but it should be something similar)

Enable IIS and the folder will appear. Then, copy paste the files onto the files inside the wwwroot folder. Follow the videos.
Here's the wwwroot folder (enable IIS first): [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
