iSro new server open date.

I've been wondering... What's the 23d legend update release? Could they open a new server soon? Since the last server Methis is now fusing with another 140 server...

That merge you mentioned is going to be very interesting. I can't believe I am just hearing about it now... usually I am the first to read about those things, but I have not checked Joymax site in a while :D

I'm wondering which systems will be kept/removed in the new "Thanatos" server because they are merging all of the "special servers" together in this integration.

Palmyra: last remaining pure R-system server.
Xian: only Chinese Only server.
Metis: just got updated to 140 cap less than 3 weeks ago.
Thetis: the only "normal" server in this merge.
It's also the first time ever that WeMadeMax is going to merge 4 servers at once.

Seems that there is going to be a lot of rage and backlash over this move. Metis players get screwed as they are not nearly equal with the other 3 server's players, Palmyra players will lose their true "R" system (or maybe the other 3 servers will get the true "R" system), and Xian players will lose their Chinese only. (probably the biggest reason for them to be mad)

There was a poll for Xian/Palmyra merge about a year ago and there was really heavy opposition to it, which WeMadeMax admitted themselves, so obviously WeMadeMax is trying to clear servers from the list to milk money or maybe prepare for something new.

2.) Joymax was releasing new servers every 6 months (January + July) since 2016, but they stopped doing that after Metis release, which was almost 2 years ago now. So, it's unlikely that there will be a new server. However if there were to be one, it would be introduced on January's monthly maintenance, which is January 23rd.
There's usually only 1~3 days prior notice, so if a new server were coming, Joymax would notify via. website/facebook on January 20th ~ January 22nd. But, don't get your hopes up. Cheers.

About the "new server" I heard dat they would launch a server in the middle of 23. Didn't happen.

But yeah, definetly u said something I had not considered before... merging a only ch server with other servers? like... Idk man, I simply love silkroad, but as a ocidental member of the community I think joymax/wemademax sux.

Imagine, u start on a server, donate 20000 dollars over the years, and now they simple decided to abort the mission and make u play agains EU chars. But, while talking about it I realised dat, maybe, they could say "oh we made a only chin server in order to have more strong chinese characters on late game servers (130+), but I mean... the R sistem was made just to do that: buff chineses nerf euros, make ppl wanna play ch chars in the end.

I think I already went on a tottaly dif direction, but, do you think there is something they can do to bring back actual life to silkroad online? A new race? Do u remember those historys about an Arabic Race? know of any new rumor?

Well im not expert , but after they made that legend 23 update , im dont think that they going to do any updates for years now.

About the merge im personaly thinking that they will make just an 140lv server with R system and thats it , for sure somebody will dont like it but i think joymax dont care that much what players thinking , they just see that servers probably complete dead and you have to do something , and for sure what they did for years is just merge the servers.

And about the new server date i think theres absolutely no chances that its can be made at the end of january , all their attention will be to merge and its just not a good time to do something more like new server , + like we know their stopped opening new servers long time ago...

Anyway im also love alot silkroad and im just checking all the infos i can to somehow get back in , but its too hard.

As you said, yeah, imagine donating so much and then losing the key factor you joined the server for. I can't imagine this is going to go over well at all for Xian players.

About Arabian Race rumors, the Arabian Race plans were cancelled a long time ago. It will never come.
Other unreleased/new content is there in the files, but it will surely be years before we see it since Legend 23 was released less than 6 months ago.

I firmly assume that Palmyra will be adapted to the normal iSRO system. The bottom line is that Joymax has already started to integrate 99% of the features of the SRO-R system into iSRO anyways. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the level cap for uniques, which still exists in the real SRO-R system (or did in a few weeks).

Nice joke. Of course they are only milking money. It is been the same game with JC Planet for years. They merge "old" servers on which people no longer spend so much money. At the same time, they use the freed-up resources and open a new server, where everything starts all over again. Unfortunately, there are enough stupid people who fall for it over and overand switch to the new server and have their money taken out of their pockets all over again.

That was not Joymax, by the way, but JC Planet. The last iSRO server Joymax opened was Genisis in 2011. Since then, they have only merged the servers (most recently in 2021). Joymax/Wemade Max now only operates Hyperion and Theia. All other iSRO servers that have been opened since 2011 then were opened by JC Planet.

There are a few other differences than the unique cap level in the true R-system compared to the new ISROR system, such as minor skill edits to wizards, no fatigue for VIP Silver+, etc. Other than that, it's basically the same system since 2013 or so as you said.
Knowing Joymax's pure laziness and absolute lack of effort, it would be no surprise to me if the merged server takes on the current ISROR system; however, it wouldn't be the first time they pick & choose features and distribute them across the servers. So we will see later in January :D

Of course by "something new" I was referring to possibly preparing a new server launch only to milk more money. It would be preposterous to assume that WMX would be planning new content, especially since the Legend 23 update was just released 6 months ago... for them, that's enough effort for 5 years or more. :D New content has no chance of happening any time soon, but new copypaste servers? Idk, different story.

As far as I've heard, Joymax(WeMadeMax) and JCPlanet are essentially the same company, just transferring Joymax's other game titles between different holdings for whatever dumbfuck reason. Probably to restore their absolutely trashed reputation considering JMX was hacked more than 4 times. For that reason I use WMX/JC synonymously. There's no difference in any SRO-related launch by Joymax or JCPlanet besides the website that you register on. ISROR is ISROR. Company doesn't matter when the content is 1:1 and the client is the same.

:rtfm: So far we got:

- The possibility of Joymax/WeMadeMax openning a new server is low. Maybe 0, since they don't do somehting like that since 2011. All the others recent servers were from JCPlanet"s moves. But they quit Silkroad.
- About the Metis's merge, we got very low information about actually what's going to happen since they're fusing many servers with diferent systems integrated.So we think dat some of them might fall, mostly the only Ch server, Palmyra (RIP)
