CIS account question.

Is it possible to play on EU servers or with other EU players using a CIS account and connecting via VPN then unconnecting when in game. Or is it just better to get an EU account?

Edit: A guy PM:ed me, saying I cant use VPN and I need some sort of VPN bypass because "VPN is not work" I dont know if hes full or its a thing, couldnt understand half of what he or she was typing to me.

You can play on all servers as long as you have a low enough ping, bsg did a minor update to their region check but you can still use cis accounts in the eu just takes like 2 minutes of setup now

and how does it work ?

Using VPN I have to high ping to even connect to a game. I live in US Central area though so I am far away. I'll just have to upgrade to the EU version to play

split tunneling by ip :yes:

Get a VPN that supports Split Tunneling via IP (such as ProtonVPN) important it must be by IP or URL, NOT by app
Go to Settings -> Advanced -> Turn on Split Tunneling and add 104.18.6.148 and 104.18.7.148 to the IP List, Tick the "Only Included apps/IPs will go through VPN tunnel".
Connect to CIS server on the VPN (Moldova) now you can start and play the game with RU account from anywhere (dont disconnect the vpn) (Only BSG's Website will go though vpn, nothing else)

You can select any game server via launcher, it does not matter and ping will be unaffected
for eft
so you can use Ru accounts again.

I bought russian account few days back and end up upgrading them to EU because of the new way to use VPN to log in. Previously it is much more easier.

Split tunneling seems to only be needed in NA.
On EU it works to just (I’m using Mullvad VPN):
Start VPN to a CIS country -> Start launcher -> ensure you have the correct servers you want to play on selected-> press start game -> disconnect VPN before game starts -> play like normal

Edit: I launch the game through Hwho, don’t think it matter here but I guess it is worth mentioning
