Try to change the compatability to Win7.

Check the client folder. There should be some sort of log files after it crashes. I was experimenting with an old clients and sent packets with invalid mesh ids, which crashed, but showed up in the client log

I will check the log files, I wish I can find updates there.
When I tried 5095 pure client, can't open the game stuck on initialise.
And if created a new account, I get invalid mesh id during saving the character and the name

If the login screen doesn't even show up, then it's probably an issue with Adobe Flash. Flash is required on that version of the client, and there're fixes to allow Flash to run on Windows 10+ from the client folder. For context, Windows removed Flash in an update since it's no longer supported by Adobe.

Spirited is correct it's no doubt a flash issue, there are workarounds though
