Well, they sell the hardware with the firmware already on it, but yeah can be resolved by getting new firmware.

I wouldn't trust any peoples firmware's, due to the fact that there has never been any proper detections for it yet.

Of course it's just the firmware. You can get a different firmware and you'll be fine
