Rust Help Ban Evasion

Hello I am new here. I am trying to figure out how I can continue to play Rust Legit.
My story is about 29 months ago me and a friend bought cracked rust accounts on steam, tried out a script/cheat in rust we used it for a couple hours and eventually got banned.

That was the only time I ever tried cheating in a game and will never try them again. So I deleted my old Steam account/friends everything and I don't even have access to the cracked account anymore.

Some steps I took months later to try and come back as a legit player;
1. built a whole new PC
2. went to my cmd console and used ip/config - release/renew to try and change IP. (im not sure if this worked? would changing my modem/router help?)
3. Created a new steam account and bought rust

So now when I log into rust im able to play on any servers as if my bans expired. But I cannot connect to any Rustoria server ? So somewhere my past is still linking to me ? I'm just trying to figure out what and how that is to fix this so I can go play legit on a clean/fresh start.

This doesn't actually change your IP. Getting a new router/modem is IMO overkill unless your current setup does not allow you to change IP etc..

In short your IP is what is linking you to your past, change it

As Joel said, the IP is how they’re tracing you. I’m guessing you don’t wanna cheat, so look into calling your ISP and request a IP change.

So once I change my IP I should be able to play from a new steam account ? just to be clear what should I be asking them for exactly?

It's not the Serial number on the modem or router ? I think I was looking to get these changed/upgraded as they are also pretty old but would just changing these 2 devices change my IP ? or would I still have to call and have them manually do that ? thanks for the replies.

and yes I don't plan to ever try using hacks or cheats in a game ever game I learned my lesson. Just trying to start fresh feel like I have served my time just wanting a fullproof way without feeling like I have wasted money on a steam account that is "tainted" or marked even if its just on 1 cluster of rust servers.

Correct, once you change it. You can play on a new steam account without getting auto server banned from the servers you were previously banned from.

Nice okay yeah I'm going to delete the other steam accounts and then reset my PC and try this.

Also to add I have been thinking, Say it works my IP address is changed everything fine for a few days/weeks.

What happens if my IP address is reset again say a power outage , is it possible they give me the same "tainted" IP address ? and I get banned all over again when It comes up ?

Here’s a check list for you that I use everytime I’m banned
1. Clear traces
Use revo uninstaller and uninstall rust, steam, and discord. Keep in mind after you do this it should be the last time you log into any of these accounts to be safe. The reason why I say to do discord as well is because rust servers have discord bots and if you verified you could be at risk of them linking your accounts.
2. Change IP/Use VPN
For me I have a 2 in 1 router modem setup with xfinity and the only way for me to change my ip is to goto the store and get a new one. I usually tell them it wasn’t working. Or use a vpn that works and that’s undetected, it’s little riskier then the first option but will still work.
3. Make a new email, discord, and steam/rust account with new names.

4. Bonus change hwid(heard rumors that some servers can link accounts through hwid but there’s no real evidence for this)

Revo uninstalling discord and steam it a bit much unless you are going to be getting PC checked. Even revo uninstalling rust is a bit much as rust doesn't leave traces that can get you game banned to my understanding. Atleast when I was an admin for a few of the biggest servers it wasn't a thing. Also, servers cannot see your HWID.

Only things I do is use a HWID spoofer before play and change IP before and after play. I don't even remove the banned steam accounts because they don't get you banned.

Okay thanks ill try this as well and I don't think I was HWID ban because I was on a completely new PC. I'm only banned on 1 server (Rustoria servers) I hear they IP ban and their bans are permanent or something. I don't think I'd be allowed to join with a VPN on most of the official servers I play on .

would I still need to "Revo uninstall" if I factory reset my PC?

You say I need to change my IP before and after each play session? Why is this ? I am planning to play on a completely fresh/clean steam account from the new IP address.

Revo uninstall won't work and they will be able to trace you back to your original banned account and will ban you again for ban evading (happened to me with a box full of AK47s rip). So you're going to have to reinstall and do the following:

- New RESIDENTIAL ip (relentless will be able to provide good names)
- Do NOT login to your old steam
- Do NOT visit & login to website such as rustoria (yes, they actually use cookies to track u)
- No similar names or friends.

Remember that Rust server admins are the average fat men with 3 slices of pizza on their desk and coke and do everything in their absolute power to trace you down even till the point of checking if your creditcard matches with your old banned account. (if you buy VIP e.g.)

-I'm getting a new Modem/Router from the same ISP today, with that
-I've also deleted any steam accounts I've used in the past
(I dnt have access to the 1 i used to cheat on 3 years ago)

-I'm going to Factory Reset my PC.
( and to add I also have a new SSD 2tb i can install )
-I will Reinstall Windows/ Create a new Steam account Purchase Rust and try
from a new IP address. (I just unplug my new modem/router for 20 minutes right ?)

I will double check if my IP has changed using " Whatismyipaddress" website.
and maybe the ipconfig command.

I'm hoping with all of these steps I can start fresh and play the game legit.
I'd hate to invest into a steam account that's been tainted even if im only server banned on 1 Rust Server so I'm trying to take all the steps and learn.


Lastly I see some cheaper rust accounts on ******** site , would it be dumb to purchase an account here ? (im worried if they have been used to cheat on id just be starting from square one with more ban evasions or something on a different IP )

What does "residential IP mean?" I've looked up my IP address
and the parts in bold are unchanged. 2xxx:8xxx:5rxx:abc2:1111:2222:3333:4444) the parts in red are not changed ?
