[ArchLord] Complete Source Code + EP7(Src,Client,Server) + EP6(Src,Client,Server)

After much anticipation and effort, we are releasing the complete source code of Archlord 1, encompassing the highly sought-after branches from Episode 5 to Episode 7.2. This release includes the dedicated work of the ALReborn team, who have diligently fixed various and problematic aspects of the server - > game.

As many of you are aware, Archlord holds a special place in the hearts of its dedicated players. With its immersive world, captivating storyline, and intense PvP battles, it has left an indelible mark on the gaming landscape. We believe that the release of the source code will breathe new life into this legendary game, allowing the community to explore, innovate, and ensure its longevity for years to come.

I assume the server vm you provided will still be maintained by the team, or is it “fully” fixed ?@al3css

About your question :

The VM version isnt fixed at all and isnt maintained, the VM it is done just for test purpose / play on local host without doing much efforts to install all the req tools/database , and the game data from ini folder its from first day of JustAc server.

Thanks for the reply. Yet I see one conflict here. If the game is playable from start to finish (120 max gear) with all working stuff you need for it. That's all I really require. I lack the knowledge to do anything regarding fixing stuff myself, so that's why I was hoping to at least be able to have some throwback moments with the VM on my local pc.

You're saying the VM isn't fixed at all and won't be maintained, this makes me wonder why is has been released just now? Is the project over? If not, can you explain what the team will focus on now?

The VM as i said its just for test function of compiled files client-server and we released the VM image on our discord group for everyone long time ago (after the fix of GB version source code).

I dont recommand VM version for public server.

I experienced many issues due the PVP server calidus and problems because the source(C++) isnt vanila 100%,was modifyed by kr/ch prev owners in the bad way without knowing what they do.

The project ALREBORN was open to fix the leaked source files and evolve it for one version wich was the first time Kor 103 then kor106 and final GB version(stable and less buggy) wich its the european version the most updated ,and also we wanted to stop to be sold again and again by the CH guys all the time.


The misc fixes (ini data folder if there exists problems) like for items/stats/maps its the way by the owner side of the server (depending the version they want to run ep3/4/5/6/7/8) and for C++ we will still contribute , also we asked community to share their fixes , but seems they work just private and no one had the behaviour to contribute with fixes or share new code even if we offered what everyoane wanted (a server , a source , materials to revive an old game).

So for the moment due the limit of our ALReborn team , personal time we will come with fixes mostly when we will have free time from real life or other projects.

That being said, how does the team intend to provide fixes/improvements to the server from now on?
Pardon my lack of knowledge, but wouldn't it be better to have this uploaded on some sites like GitHub for people to contribute?

As all current “public” servers right there blow absolute dick, all my hope was this project to release a “repack” just as in the WoW scene for people to plug and play the game on their own local pc. Will this have any future? I'd love to get input from CMB on this too.

Who wants to contribute to the project with addition code we give acces to push up in a public repo which exists already and its part of this release topic

So, originally the plan was provide fixes through the SVN repositories, but those are dead now and more than likely won't be coming back. I'd rather not use git/github, since it breaks the data. The VM was intended to be like a "repack", but maybe it would suffice to put a non-vm version together, though you can kinda already do that with the server svn files.

I don't intend on ever actually closing/stopping the project, but the work I do requires a significant time investment on my part, so that leaves me with very little free time.

Finally, as for the relevancy of the VM, it will always be relevant in that it is an all-in-one solution, for any sort of server updates, you can just simply copy paste the updated files into the VM, and you would be good to go. I think I had the EP7 VM set up to connect to the SVN repositories we were hosting, but since those are gone that method will no longer work. I probably will put out another VM as an update with hopefully a more permanent update solution, and with whatever fixes have occurred at that point. I still need to do some internal organization, and data sync has been at the top of my list for months, but its a huge undertaking lol.

Don't think that just because you don't see much activity that the project is dead, I've said it before, and I will always say it, I will never completely stop with ArchLord, I will see that it lives as long as possible.

its all good when i loggin im dead 5 player left side and background is Black what can i do ? cc items i can use but no run see no world
