NPCs w/ Text-to-Speech

There is a lot of great servers nowadays that try to be unique. Well, hoping to help one of them, I’m giving away an idea I prototyped.

CO can feels old and liveless, so why not leveraging the technological progress to make it a nicer experience when interacting with NPCs? Using speech-to-text services, you could have NPCs talk for real! Almost as significant as the CO 3D update! And with the number of voices available, you could have a diversified experience!

The next iteration of this: AI text-to-speech based on the NPC's avatar. Avatar's an old man? Sounds like an old man. Add a few tags just to help the AI out, and bam. You've got a drunk, old man. I'd love to see someone play around with the client in that way. Or you know... could pay some cheap voice actors. It's not like there's a huge amount of dialog in this game. Hehe

Edit: I'd love it if my character had a voice as well for the responses. Like a unique voice from a selection of possible voices.

Very neat! Also been playing around with this stuff. Not for CO related things though
